Strange Occurrences in Yew Forest

hen I was hunting in the woods of Yew one day to gather some hides, I came across a strange person, known as Pict Python. He was obviously human, but almost looked like an animal, barely dressed and a whole tribe of various animals following him. He obviously did not meet other humans very often, because as soon as he saw me coming he startled and hid immediately. I greeted him politely and asked him who he was. When he answered, he spoke in some strange language which I was hardly able to understand. But hadn't I heard this dialect before...? Then I suddenly remembered: He had attended the Funeral of Lord Rho (green dressed man in the lower right corner).
He seemed to lead a very primitive life in the woods with animals being his only friends. I wished him good luck and left him alone. After a few steps I turned around, but he was gone without leaving a trace. This was strange!

Suddenly I came across a clearing with a large Yew tree in the middle. But the tree didn't have any leaves, and the surrounding trees looked ill and barren as well. I investigated the area but could not detect anything unusual that could have caused this disease.
