Stealing for Runaways

One day in front of the Trinsic bank I didn't notice a guy named LootDude standing next to me. No other persons were around. Suddenly I noticed LootDude stealing a loaf of bread from me. As I was the only one around I decided not to call the guards. I told the thief to keep the bread and have fun with it.
That was a reaction he just couldn't cope with. He made fun of me, laughed at me and finally made one big mistake. He called the guards himself without wanting it.
I couldn't help laughing about this frustrated soul. What must he have experienced, that he just couldn't believe that someone didn't call the guards on his crime?
I hope he ate the bread before being smashed down by the town guard.
