From Trinsic to Delucia
(Pilgrimage Day 1)

The Pilgrimage" stood in bold letters on the little book, that I was opening in my house. This book would be the diary of my adventures. The time had come again, to wander and explore the Lost Lands and Britannia. I had been making plans for my first trip, and decided to start it in my home town Trinsic. This was the town where I was born, and where I had met my dear father. (See Page 2 "The Foundling")
Leaving everything behind, except a few reagents and an old simple bow for hunting food, I passed the southern gate of Trinsic. I remembered well, how often I had run across these bright stone pavers, selling my carved bows and booty to the provisioner of Trinsic, as I was a young boy. Now I left the town again, not for hunting this time, but as an experienced mage and fighter in search of wisdom and knowledge.
I knew the jungles south of Trinsic still very well, and soon I found my way to the graveyard, where once my father Mad Biker had been resurrected, and I had given my life. Now my father was buried here forever, and none should bring him back to life this time.
Sadly I put a flower on the still fresh dug soil, as I heard the well-known snorting of a horse behind me. I turned around, and found Mad Biker's horse guarding his grave. It was not willing to leave until it starved to death.
Leaving the sad memories behind I proceeded to the Shrine of Honor, which was not very far away. I muttered a silent prayer, and closed my eyes. Slowly the stress of my life, the urging for fame and wealth and the pressure of learning and gaining faded away.
Feeling very relaxed, I continued northward, to find the cave entrance to the Lost Lands, which should lead me to Delucia.
Soon I entered the dark cave, hewn in the southern end of a small rocky hill. The well-known sounds of snakes and rats surrounded me, but I still felt comfortable as if I was wearing a full plate armor. I passed by holes from which poisonous gas leaked, was blocked by glowing pits of lava and sneaked through narrow caves.
Suddenly the light of day blinded my eyes, and the city of Delucia welcomed me with its strange straw huts and stone buildings.
It had been a long time since I had come here before, and I couldn't help admiring these strange warriors, riding on the two-legged ostards. I headed for the bank, to restock my arrows and get my bedroll. I lighted a fire and camped in a nearby wood within the safe palisade of Delucia, wondering what the next day would bring.
