Siege Perilous - Beginning and End of an Adventure

ell, the Gods had banned Pete Ninefinger from the game for two days, for a reason he did not understand. They called it "macroing". But Pete HAD to train his fighting skills, so after the ban was lifted, he trained again, not forgetting to shout every now and then that he was not macroing, whatever that meant.

Pete met strange people in this world, and the tongues they were speaking seemed totally unfamiliar and strange. At least Pete got a little bit of a fighting skill now; time to go adventuring.

Wolves still proved to be a challenge for Pete, and he died twice by such a beast. They were aggressive, and their bite was dangerous.

Today he discovered something interesting. A tiny boat was standing on the mainland, and a sign said that one could cross over to Skara Brae. Wonderful! Pete wasn't a good swimmer.

Pete had worked hard day and night on his skills. He learned tinkering, in order to be able to produce his own scissors. He had become a decent miner, and his blacksmithing skill was slowly rising.

But today the Gods were up to a new joke: This shard, on which Pete had wasted so much time, is going to be wiped. Every person living here will die by the hand of a God. There had been a poll, and the majority had voted against this divine hare-brained fantasy, but the poll was just a farce.

Pete decided, not to let a God judge over his life, but take destiny in his own hands.

If Pete was going to die, it would be done his way!

After slaying a few healers out of town, Pete Ninefinger was known as a murderer throughout the land. Strange, what kind of an effect such a reputation had. People were fleeing when they saw him. Sadly he entered the town of Minoc, to spread the news about the plans of the Gods. In front of the bank he was slain by an overzealous guard.

Pete Ninefinger had never been seen on Siege Perilous again...
