Brigand Invasion
he town criers were shouting out the news to any passer-by: Brigands were troubling the road from Vesper to Minoc. Assistance was needed! Pete Ninefinger grabbed his spear and ran to the location, not taking along anything else, as he expected some ambush from murderers.
As a matter of fact, the road was swarming with brigands, attacking anybody who got close. Pete managed to slay several of them, and a few other fighters joined in to repulse the attack. However, the party soon was raided by murderers, who often haunted this road. Fortunately Pete lost nothing but his cheap spear.
