Brigands and Evil Mages

awkeye Pike and his friends were roaming the woods near Red Skull Bay to find potential sources of ale or gold. Near the Virtue Village he suddenly met a few evil mages who attacked them immediately. Hawkeye didn't fear magery and the mages were quickly slain. This was strange, as evil mages usually didn't show up in the Red Skull Bay area. The Virtue Village was deserted as ever and the pirates were about to head back to the Jolly Roger Inn, when suddenly in several places of the forests evil mages and brigands appeared out of nothing.

First they appeared one by one, then in groups, and soon each pirate was busy fighting three or more of them at the same time. Rockhammer, Barbarossa, Arioch, Syltor, Buddy and Hawkeye defeated the first wave of invaders, but more and more mages came out from under the trees, wielding spells while approaching. After a fierce battle against some dozens of these invaders the area was cluttered with their corpses.

A deadly silence spread in the woods. It seemed to be over. Carefully the pirates checked through the corpses of their victims, looking for loot and ale.
"I vas tu late. I voresaw eet."
A simple dressed girl came walking out from under the trees. She introduced herself as a gypsy from Minoc and asked to speak with the Admiral of the pirates.

Hawkeye asked her if she knew the reason for the attack, and he got a mysterious answer.
"Ze vuture eez never zat clear. I vill contine to vatch dis area zough."

After a short conversation the mysterious gypsy just vanished. Strange that she didn't use any travelling spells. The pirates were left behind, wondering what all this was about.
