Dark Times

rinsic has once again become a safe place. Only the remnants of the dark temple on the roof of the Trinsic City Hall reminded of the previous days and weeks of horror, when Juo'nar had ruled the town and Britannia had been invaded by hordes of monsters. The braziers, that had been placed in the corners of the strange structure, glowed like the red eyes of hellhouds in the night. Red lava was gurgling between the black stone tiles, issuing a warm and rotten smell.

Hawkeye was worried about the future. He had heared many rumors about Trammel and Felucca. The mood of Britannia's population was not the best. A mirror of today's world of Britannia would soon appear. This mirror would prevent the evil folk to molest honest people. In Trammel, everybody would be safe from being attacked, murdered or looted. Lately Hawkeye spent a lot of time at the Red Skull Bay, discussing about what the future would bring with his fellow pirates.

In the privacy of his log cabin he talked to Hook. Hook and Hawkeye were the first pirates of Britannia and they had known each other for a very long time. Hook was concerned about Britannia's future as well. Both agreed that the split of the world would cause many communities to perish over the disagreement about where they should live. While many people hated being victimized by dread murderers, the two pirates thought that without that danger, a lot of Britannia's original character would fade away.

These days, Hawkeye did not very often meet and go hunting with fellow crew mates. Most of his time he spent at home behind the safe walls of his hut in the Red Skull Bay. The whole world and its polulation seemed idle, like the calm before a big storm. Hawkeye hated this emptiness.

One day, all of a sudden, Andrej Pike the lumberjack suddenly saw gravestones all over his forest, and the mossy ground was littered with bones, skulls and blood. He was shocked and ran back to the Red Skull Bay, just to find out that even by his home those dark items had appeared out of nothing. His fellow pirates were not able to see these items; they claimed to see only small trees where the gravestones were standing. What kind of strange vision did Andrej have? This did not bode well!
