Trouble With Blackrock

rom his experience as a grandmaster miner during the old days, Andrej Pike knew that mining by boat was a more efficient method than mining on foot. The advantage was that he could gather an almost unlimited amount of ore on his boat, while when mining on foot he was forced to run to a forge and smelt the ore every few minutes. That's why Andrej sailed along the rocky shore in northern Britannia today with a bag full of pickaxes. Among several crystals and diamonds he also dug out a tiny piece of blackrock, which he ignored completely.

However, a few pickaxe strikes later, suddenly a huge black elemental appeared on deck of his boat and killed him immediately. It was a Blackrock Elemental! But where did it come from? Maybe it had something to do with the piece of blackrock in his backpack? Andrej had to get resurrected immediately to save his piles of ore from decaying. He sailed immediately back to his house, the Jolly Roger Pirate Outpost, to get help from his friend, the powerful mage McBykar.

McBykar stared at the Blackrock Elemental which was trapped on the Drunken Corsair. The ship had not taken any damage whatsoever. He decided to cast a fire field onto the boat and then bombard it with a series of powerful spells. "In Flam Grav!" A large fire appeared directly by the feet of the elemental. But it did not take any damage! Instead, McBykar did! Through some evil magic a great part of the damage done to the Blackrock Elemental was reflected back to McBykar. He pulled out his crossbow and shot some bolts. Same thing here! The shots took a lot of McBykar's life energy when they hit the elemental. This thing could not be killed by the hand of a man! But how to get rid of it?

Andrej finally got an idea. He entered the boat and got whacked by the evil creature again. Then he sailed all the way to Vesper and anchored the Drunken Corsair in the guard protection area. He ran to the healer, got resurrected and returned to the boat. There he called the town guards, and with a flash of lightning the elemental was killed by Nan the guard and vanished. Problem solved! When Andrej Pike sailed off, Nan was still on his boat.
Andrej decided that next time he went mining he would pay attention if he dug out any blackrock. If he did, he would not keep it inside his backpack but place it into a bag on his boat. It seemed the elemental slew him because it tried to get back the piece of rock.

Some days later, McBykar tried once again to kill a Blackrock Elemental, without success. Even from a safe distance his spells did not damage the creature, while its aura harmed McBykar significantly.
