Ilshenar Dungeons on Foot
group of six pirates had gathered by the Jolly Roger Inn, to set out for a new adventure. Sharkeye Pike, who would lead the way, Xerog, Jachyra Deakin, Catlord, Faye Jacquette and Trevor Sevryn. They would explore Ilshenar again, but this time without the help of tamers, and on foot! Doing this would make the trip more challenging and interesting. They would take their time and enjoy each part of the adventure. Starting from the Ilshenar Honesty Moongate, they would work their way through the dangerous dungeons of this secluded world.
Heading east from Honesty, they soon reached the valley where the Cyclps Pyramid could be found. And also the entrance to the Cyclops Dungeon. This was where they would go! After slaying a few of these giant humanoid creatures, they stood in front of the big dark hole in the rocks, preparing their weapons.
In a remote chamber in the southern part of the Cyclops Dungeon, the Balron was at home. Another fighter, Little John, had joined their fellowship and used his powerful crossbow against the evil creatures.
After slaying many of the creatures, Trevor Sevryn left the group, and the remaining pirates continued to the northern part of the dungeon, where a broad stairway was leading downward into Level 2 of the Wisp Dungeon. A lot of Evil Mages and Dark Wisps could be found here, and several Paragon types opposed the brave adventurers. They reached a big hall with stone benches and an altar, where they continued to battle the recurring enemies.
After gathering a lot of gold - more than they could carry - they proceeded downward into Level 3. In this part of the dungeon, no monster was living. However, a tricky maze of teleporters was obstructing the passage. It took the group more than half an hour to figure out the correct sequence of teleporters. Some pirates were close to giving up, but they succeeded at last, and managed to pass this mysterious hall. Another rune could be found in the next room, which would lead them down to the lowest level of Wisp Dungeon: The Balron Hall. At least, that's what they wrongly believed. The rune on the floor teleported them back to the beginning of the maze. Having figured out the riddle, they quickly passed the maze and searched for another hidden teleporter to take them down. Sharkeye finally found it, and they continued downward again.
Meanwhile, Jachyra Deakin left the team, and they were only 5 now. Inspite, the Balron was challenging, but not too dangerous. They fought it for a while, gathering more loot, before they stepped on the green pentagram in the northern part of the hall, which took them back to Level 1, close to the Wisp Dungeon exit.
They safely reached Level 1, left the dungeon, followed a mountain pass westward, and continued to head west through the Nox Tereg swamp. They killed a Plague Beast and some other monsters, but then didn't bother much about the swamp creatures anymore. They passed the Burned Forest, which was guarded by Fire Elementals, and soon stood in front of the Kirin Passage entrance.
The Kirin Passage is a mountain pass, which is home to all kinds of Elementals, including the dangerous Paragon type of the Poison Elemental. This place was soon left behind, as they entered the Ankh Dungeon through the cave at the northern end of the Kirin Passage.
They spent most of the time in the room where the Daemon and the Blood Elemental lives. Being only four now, there were some casualties amongst the team. But fortunately, always at least one survived to resurrect the others; the next shrine would have been quite a walk away. Now, Xerog had to say goodbye. But the three remaining adventurers, Sharkeye Pike, Catlord and Little John, decided to finish the expedition. They moved on to the stairway that lead into the Serpentine Passage.
When they entered the big cave where the Serpentine Dragon and the Centaurs lived, Sharkeye was busy fending of Pixies. Those little spellcasting creatures were upset about his negative karma and kept attacking him. The Serpentine Dragon was no real match against those powerful warriors. His killing, however, lead to karma loss.
They followed the passage that lead directly into the city of Mistas. Only a few Jukas opposed them, and an overzealous Golem. The Energy Bolt attacks of Sharkeye brought the Golem down quickly. The adventurers ended their expedition in the Mistas Regsit, the biggest inn of Sosoria. There they shared a few thoughts and memories, before they said fairwell and separated again. Sharkeye already had the next expedition planned in his mind...
