The Black Market

oday would be a big day for the Catskills traders and buyers! The United Pirates had organized the first Black Market on Catskills, where merchants would sell valuable and high-quality items for a fair price. This event would recur every first Saturday of the month, on 8pm EST. It also was a good opportunity for the pirates to divest some of their contraband. The preparations had taken almost a week. News had been posted, runes had been handed out, the word had been spread.

Four merchants offered loads of fine wares, like artifacts, high-end runic crafted weapons and armor, rares and spring cleaning tickets. Each merchant had a list of their wares lying on the table in front of him, so customers could browse through their offers.

The biggest transaction was made when Hawkeye Pike was hawking a load of spring cleaning tickets. However, the offered weapons, although extremely valuable, remained untouched. Spanky, known for his top runic crafted items, did not sell many of his items (yet), although his prices were much much lower than the regular Luna prices. It seems like Catskills still has to learn more about this event, and that you could do some very nice bargain buys at the Black Market.

This time, Hawkeye Pike had been busy selling wares, but at the next Black Market he would take care of entertaiment, organize tournaments and bets. After the market was over, some of the pirates visited the village of the Purple Guardians of Honor to participate in a jousting tournament. The event was a lot of fun, although winning was more a matter of luck. The winner, some landlubber from the village, walked away with a nice prize money.
