Militia Warfare in Serpent's Hold
he Catskills Militia had gathered at the Serpent's Hold stables for combat training. This event would take place every Sunday at 2pm EST in alternating locations. The object was to prepare the fighters of Catskills for upcoming threats. Only equipment made by grandmaster craftsmen with no magic enhancements were allowed. No jewelry, no talismans and no other gadgets were to be worn. The group was divided into two teams - a blue and a green team. After Vin had explained the goal the teams split up, each one heading towards its base. The fights could begin!
Three battles were fought: Conquer the enemy base, capture the flag, and wipe out the enemy.
All participants had a lot of fun and learned a lot about skill- and tactics-based combat. When you cannot rely on nifty equipment and artifacts anymore, success only depends on your fighting skill. To be continued...
