The Volcano of Trinsic

My idea was as simple as it was logical: Buy a spellbook and learn magery, so you don't always have to run from spellcasting creatures and murderers! I went to the Trinsic Mage Shop and bought an empty spellbook. I also payed the mage in the shop to teach me the basics of magery and resisting spells. I immediately went to Covetous again, to test whether my resisting spells skill would work out. It did! Now I even could slay the Gazer without any help.

Now all I needed was some scrolls for my spellbook, so I could cast spells myself. In old tales I had heard from a Hidden Valley inside the extinct volcano southwest of Trinsic. I traveled there and found a secret entrance in the mountain after a short search. The entrance was invisible from the outside, but if you just walked towards the wall you were able to enter it. I followed a narrow path that lead through the rocks and finally entered a small secluded valley!

At the end of the valley, the house of a mage was to be found. Nobody seemed to be at home. I studied the books in an old library, telling tales about ancient Britain. I even read one book of Lord Blackthorn in which he criticized that we humans attack the monsters at sight, without even trying to talk to them. I kept his words in my mind to remember them next time I'd meet a monster.

But where was the mage? After another hour of searching, I finally found a secret teleporter hidden inside the rocky wall of the valley, which led into the cellar of the mage's house. Down in the cellar there were traces of a fight. The floor was blood stained and it made me shiver. A mage and an alchemist welcomed me quietly. I asked them for magic scrolls and they sold me the Healing and the Reactive Armor scroll of the first circle of magery. I added them to my spellbook immediately. Now I was ready for the dungeon again!
