The Disease
oon, my pilgrimage would come to
an end. While traveling back through the forest to Trinsic, I saw suddenly discovered two more of these mysterious energy
creatures - Wisps! I always had wondered where they came from and how they existed. Again, the Wisps suddenly began to speak
in a strange language. They seemed to be talking to me! Unfortunately, I was unable to understand. Maybe one day I would
find out the secret about these creatures...

I suddenly began to feel weak and exhausted. My skill had stopped improving since several days, although I hadused my sword many times to defend myself against the monsters of the wilderness, or to hunt for food. The pilgrim tour had been long and my experiences were strange and beautiful. My legs began to hurt. With my last power I managed to reach the Shrine of Justice. I had heard that poisoning yourself and weakening yourself with magic, and afterwards receiving cure from the shrine would defeat such a rare disease. I did that and spoke the shrine's mantra. The poison and curse wore off at once, but my weakness syndrome remained. I sank down on my knees and sent a last desperate prayer to the Gods of Britannia. Suddenly, I heard the voice of God who told me that I was cured, and felt the power flowing through my veins again.

I headed back to Trinsic to re-equip my armor and a weapon. Full of thirst for adventure I was running through the woods south of Trinsic, looking for evil creatures. Suddenly I came across a man with long grey hair. His name was Sir Mac Beth and he invited me to sit down by his campfire and talk. He was also on a pilgrimage, and he told me that he was trying to find his home, the Highlands. I offered him something to eat and he gave me a magic axe in return.

This encounter made me reconsider my way of life. What did I gain by fighting battles and exploring dungeons? Was it all about riches and fame? Deep inside I was much more curious about the secrets of this land than about substantial things. That's when I decided to start a second pilgrim tour.
