Poisoned Body, Poisoned Mind

KugelBlitz and McBykar were setting sails to go hunting for Water Elementals. The ship of KugelBlitz was small and maneuverable. This was a good opportunity to raise the archery skill and make some money. McBykar urgently needed gold to buy reagents and save some for finally being able to buy a house. The two adventurers were doing well against the evil water creatures. KugelBlitz was specialized in close combat and McBykar shot deadly arrows at the elemental.

Soon they had improved their tactics and the Water Elementals didn't have a chance against them. After a short fight they would explode into a large cloud of steam. The two fighters looted about 140 goldpieces from every elemental and a diamond every now and then. After 2 hours they had about 1200 gold pieces each and headed back to Trinsic. After this successful adventure event McBykar visited Mad Biker, who was lying in his bed.

With a weak voice I told McBykar about my last adventures. I told about the evil things I had experienced. Like my last visit to Deceit, where once again the brave adventurers had been outnumbered and raided by murderers who killed them and looted them to the bone. Meanwhile I had been hiding in a nearby cave, frustrated about my inability to help.

The evil in this world has become powerful and mighty. One brave knight after another fell to the arrows and spells of this scum, all were helpless without a chance to succeed. What had this world become? What was needed to stop this madness?

With my friend KugelBlitz I visited the most dangerous dungeon of Britannia: Hythloth. You didn't come across murderers there very often, so the adventure promised to be a success. But weakness had not only infested my mind, but also my body. I felt poisoned to the core. The once so challenging serpents, hellhounds, gargoyles and other monsters now seemed to be only annoying and detested. A lot of times I was close to death and survived only thanks to the help of my companions. Still the venom aches in my body and the evil darkens my mind. The time has come to say goodbye!

"Be strong, McBykar! Don't give up, and if you fail try another path. I failed on this world, and I failed on you. I was neither able to destroy evil, nor was I even able to diminish it or alleviate its poison. I feel weak. My strength is now in you, McBykar. Honor mine goals and follow the path of the Virtues! Remember, the most valuable treasure in this world is a reliable companion and someone who helps you without asking. Thou hast learned a lot, McBykar. Now is the time to use your knowledge and make Britannia a better world! May the Gods of Britannia guide thee on thine ways..."

These were the last words of Mad Biker before he passed away.

(Note: The character later was deleted due to his awkward name.)
