The Pearl of Vesper

I exactly remember the day when Kurt and me were meeting at the Vesper bank to go out for a pilgrimage. We both stopped our conversation at the same time, staring in the same direction. A beautiful Lady in a dark black dress came walking by. Her name was ShadowGal, and she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in Vesper.
Kurt swallowed and then tried to look away, for he knew he would be lost. ShadowGal teased him by walking up and down provokingly in front of his eyes.

Kurt was singing and whistling all the way from Vesper to Yew. It seemed the Lady had twisted his mind.
I told her how beautiful she was, and she seemed to have heard these words from many men before. We had a nice talk, and somehow I hoped to meet her again one day...
