A Strange Stone Gate

ndrej Pike, an experienced lumberjack, fletcher and carpenter, was sick of working all day. He was bored of cursing the vendors again and again, when they didn't accept his wares. So he grabbed his spear and walked out into the jungle. He used to be working around Vesper and Trinsic, so he wandered the woods of Trinsic, for he felt at home there.

A friend - Wilhelm Tell - accompanied him on his trip. Andrej was cursing at the humid climate and the heat, as they suddenly stepped out into a clearing. A very high stone gate was towering up into the sky. They both never had seen something like that before.
"Whut da damn hell be it?" asked Andrej. Wilhelm didn't know the answer either. Andrej walked around the gate, walked through the gate .... and suddenly ... he found himself in a region he didn't know at all!

Wilhelm had followed him through the gate. Suddenly they stood in a tropical forest again. It looked like an island, but they weren't sure. In the near distance they noticed the brown roof of a house. Wilhelm and Andrej headed in this direction to take a look, whether it was a town they would be familiar to.

As they reached the house and read the sign on it, they knew where they were. In Buccaneer's Den! This gate teleported them on the lost pirate island. "Dat's da damn home uh Hawkeye" Andrej explained. His brother was born here, although he now lived in Trinsic.

After a bath and a good meal in a tavern the companions strolled through the town a little, and then left again. Andrej still wondered, what the use of the gate was, except teleporting people to Buc's Den.
