The Britannia Treasure Hunt

This was written on many scrolls throughout Britannia:

"Come to the Britannia Treasure Hunt!

The object is, to find a big treasure which is hidden somewhere in Britannia. For the treasure hunt you will need a ship, as the hunt will take place on the water. Recalling and other spells are forbidden!

The event will start at the United Pirates' headquarter, the public Jolly Roger Inn. A map to the headquarter can be found at our skypage (link see below). At the inn you will receive a hint to find the first spot on the trail to the treasure. During the hunt you will receive further hints, and in the end you might find a big treasure. If you arrive together with another searcher, it's up to you if you share, or kill him. Sail back to the Jolly Roger Inn with your booty, to celebrate your success together with the pirates! Of course you can fight each other on high sea or during the quest, but please obey the RPG rules if you want to do that. You can also take along as many crew members on your ship, as you like. But you must not split up, you have to stay together!

We recommend, to take along some sailing maps of Britannia and a sextant. It is also an advantage, if you know Britannia very well.

There are also some rules to obey:

- Of course we take it for granted, that no unfair methods will be used.
- It is forbidden to recall, gate travel, cast blade spirits or energy vortices!
- You must not work together with other players who do not travel together with you.
- You (or your crew) have to pass every station by yourself, without splitting up.
- If you find a piece of information, then just read it and leave it behind. You must not take it with you!!!
- Obey RPG rules in fights! Do not loot ship keys! Try to avoid losses of ships at all!

Violation of the rules will be prosecuted with public keelhauling! Harhar! Of course we will watch every station, to make sure that everybody visits it by boat, and leaves the hints behind.

This event might take some time, for you have to sail all over Britannia. We hope to see many attendants there!

The Corsair Hawkeye Pike"

Three big crews arrived at the Jolly Roger Inn, to start the search for the treasure. One crew was a pirates crew, another was from the Virtue Village, and the third crew consisted of members of the Path of Virtue guild.
After some instructions by the Corsair Hawkeye Pike, the crews were ready to start. Hawkeye gave them the first hint, and then the hunt started!
"On the small island west of Skara Brae dere's a house nam'd 'Styme's Forge'. It's said that yo' can find a small green bag in da shadow of this house. Just read da information it contains, and leav' it behind. Do not take anythin' with yo'!"

People were rushing to their ships, and the pirates got a bad start.

Jolly Roger Inn
Island off Scara Brae Thanks to their good sailing skills, the pirates arrived as the first on the small island, and found the Diary of a Prisoner. It said:

"...I am sitting here, rotting in the cells of this deadly prison. July 21st: I often look out of the window, watching the green trees of the small island. Nothing else can be found here, just this cursed jail! In the distance I can see the stone walls of Empath Abbey..."

A starving and sick prisoner provided the arriving teams with some interesting information:

"Ah can't remember anythin'. The food here must be poisoned! Me head aches. I hope they get me to a better jail with some medical help soon... Uh, ye need help? I know an always drunken pirate, who might be able to help ye. He mostly hangs around in the tavern Pirate's Plunder on this pirate island! Forgot it's name. Be careful if ye travel there!"

Yew Prison
Buccaneer's Den In Buccaneer's Den the pirates were still the leading team, as they reached the Pirate's Plunder and found the drunken pirate. After demanding five bottles of ale, he told them with his drunken voice:

"I've lost da damn red bag on da tiniest of da five islands
southeast of Britain. It contains me log book with hints about da whereabouts of Sam, da retired sailor. I've forgotten all about it, darn!"

All three crews found the log book, and the team of the Virtue Village was on the last position, for their captain had been washed ashore during a storm.

Logbook of the captain:

"August 6th: We leave one of my comrades at the docks of Trinsic. He wants to retire, and now only watches the ships dropping anchor at the docks. He seems to be getting senile anyway, for he permanently talks about a treasure and that he was looking for a prisoner..."

Trinsic The sailor in Trinsic was very hungry and demanded fruits. KugelBlitz had some apples for his horse with him, so they saved a lot of time while the others were searching for fruit in Trinsic. The sailor talked finally:

"Ahoy! I have to get to Cove! Ah know som' darn good lookin' female guard there! She is doin' service at da palisade, and I hav' to ask da wench for the whereabouts of da prisoner Gent!"

Ann the guard was really to be found on the palisades of Cove, but she proved not to be as sweet as her looks. After calming her down, she finally cooperated and provided the hunters with important information.

"Thou wishest to speak with me? Dost thou know the prison of Nujel'm? The prisoner Gent is jailed there."

At this point, the Virtue Village crew had reached the second position, due to their luck in Trinsic.

Cove
Nujel'm The crews finally bumped into each other in Nujel'm, and there was a short fight. Miguel Estevez fell by the weapons of their opponents.

The prisoner Gent felt much better, and he was finally able to remember:

"I'm cured now! I remember that I have hidden the booty of my last robbery in a chest in the lost Maroon Cutlass Smithing. Alas, I can't get it now. Ye will find this building at the sextant coordinates of 13o 47'N, 47o 46'E."

All three crews arrived at the Maroon Cutlass Smithing almost simultaneously. Alas the pirates were attacked by monsters, and therefore were too busy to attack the Virtue Village crew. So the team of the Virtue Village arrived at the treasure chest. It was locked, but in an old bookshelf they found the hidden key for the chest. They snatched it and sailed back to the Jolly Roger Inn as fast as possible.

As they arrived, a bunch of angry pirates awaited them. There was a short fight, in which one of the pirates and a member of the Virtue Village were killed. But the treasure remained in the possession of the winners.

Everybody celebrated the winners, and admired the big treasure. The treasure chest was full of gold, magic items, jewelry and other stuff.

After all, the quest was fun for everyone, and the guests of the Jolly Roger Inn got drank and eat until late at night.
