The Spire of the Ninth Virtue

veryone had busy with preparations, when finally the big day had come: The Spire of the Ninth Virtue was opened to the public. The event was celebrated with a big festival. People came from everywhere in Britannia, to view the symbol of the Virtues, and take part in the contests.

The contestants mostly formed groups of a lady and her champion. In the first game, the contestants had to absolve a race through a labyrinth of chests, to pick up a flower and bring it back to his lady as fast as possible.
In the second game the participants had to recite a poem for their ladies, to show them their respect or even love.
Then followed a fashion show of men, and many unusual or even well-known costumes could be seen there.

All in all it was a great day, until the pirates suddenly appeared and caused trouble. There was a big battle, which resulted in a duel of life and death between the Lord KugelBlitz and the Pirate Admiral Arutha.

The strokes of Kugelblitz's sword were deadly. Severely wounded Arutha finally dropped to the ground after a long and fierce fight. This was the last time, the famous and yet fearsome Admiral of the United Pirates was to be seen in Britannia...

The time I had with Storm Silverhand passed by just too fast, and the pictures were flickering through my mind, leaving me no time to rest. A pale blue skirt, silver hair, dead bodies, pirates, crowds of laughing people, clashing weapons and beautiful poems. Exhausted I dropped on my bed, sinking into an uneasy slumber.
