The Cup of the Staggering Sailor

The banner of the pirates was flapping in the wind, marking the headquarters of the United Pirates, the Jolly Roger Inn. Through the windows of the inn the chattering voices of many people could be heard. The door opened with a squeaking sound, as another guest entered the pirates inn. The smell of ale, sweat and smoke left the inn through the front door, and the loud voice of the captain Hawkeye Pike could be heard, as he greeted the attendants of the Cup of the Staggering Sailor. He explained the rules, then they all walked to the starting line, which had been marked on the shore by two red spots and torches.

After the crews had entered their boats and lined up at the shore, the boat numbers were assigned. An explosion was the signal all had waited for. Immediately the crews began to attack each other, and sailed off at the same time. One boat managed to sneak through the battle unnoticed, and so gained a good advantage over the others. There was the Doom of the Sea with Admiral Hook as a captain. The Dol Guldur, maneuvered by Redneckus, Zyq's Boat with the Pirate Rita and the Whistling Sister steered by a guy called Someone Else.

The fastest ship was Zyq'sBoat. They were the first to reach the checkpoint one, and sailed to the finish line with an advantage of three minutes. They were followed closely by the Dol Guldur with a fierce and strong crew. The ship of the United Pirates, Doom of the Sea, had troubles of finding the checkpoint one, due to a drunken captain and a chaotic crew, so they made the third place. The fourth ship Whistling Sister, with some elves on board, did not even reach the checkpoint one, and nobody knew where they remained.
The race was a success, although the crew of the elves got totally lost and never was heard of again. The winners received their prize at the Jolly Roger Inn. It was a treasure chest recovered from a shipwreck, filled with many thousand gold pieces, an SOS message, several magic items, bones and other stuff. There was free ale for everyone, and the noise of celebration could be heard throughout the night until dawn.
