Down to the Lava Pit

A heavy, warm, and smoky stench crawled out of the black opening in the rocks at the western docks of Serpent's Hold. The pirates were gathering in front of the entrance to the Fire Dungeon, checking their equipment one last time before they entered into darkness. An efreet, who expected them near the entrance, was slain quickly. Slowly they proceeded to a large lava pit with a rope as the only possibility to cross. In the past this rope had been a death trap to some adventurers. So decided to leave it behind and continue to head east.

Apart from the efreet in this dungeon level there was no real challenging monster for experienced fighters. The pirates crossed strange stone bridges, passed lava rivers and killed a few hellcats and lava lizards. The area also was very crowded with rats, snakes, slimes and other small critters.

When the pirates descended to the next level they came across a number of orcs, which were slain quickly.

Finally they reached a small room with a red pentagram on the floor. Hawkeye had been here before and warned the crew to be careful. Then they all stepped onto the pentagram. Immediately they were teleported downward into a small cave where flames shot out of the ground. The room was stuffed with all kinds of different monsters that it was almost impossible to move. Weapons clashed, monsters roared and fighters moaned. After a long battle (and a lot of lag) all the monsters plus one unlucky pirate lay scattered on the ground. Time to leave this dangerous place!

Next station was a large underground building in which several evil mages were dwelling. The mages down here were rather powerful, especially the ones with the blue robes. They cast dangerous spells and they had to be slain quickly, or it would have been the death of any fighter. Finally the pirates were tired, gathered in a chamber and decided to head back to the Red Skull Bay.
