Gargoyle's Pickaxe

ambal Dragor was hunting Wyverns in the desert of the Lost Lands, and he also slain some Stone Gargoyles on his way. On one of the gray Gargoyles he found a strange tool, called a Gargoyle's Pickaxe. As Sambal knew nothing about mining, he decided to join a party with Thanos - a professional smith and miner - to test the axe in a remote mining location.

The pirate John LaFoot joined them, and they watched the cave carefully while Thanos was testing the mysterious axe on the cave floor. He was able to dig up ore of one level higher quality than usual, when he used the Gargoyle's Pickaxe. Suddenly a grunting sound was heard, and an elemental emerged from the soil. A Copper Elemental!

John LaFoot swung his kryss and Sambal Dragor wielded his axe until the copper elemental was slain. It was not more powerful than any other earth elemental, but it had 25 copper ore in its corpse.

The result of this adventure was some verite and valorite ore, and a mysterious monster none of them had ever seen before. They smelted the ore into ingots at a nearby smithy, to be able to carry it.

A second pickaxe summoned a green verite elemental. It was not very powerful either, and analog to the copper elemental it carried 25 verite ore. The ingots were all stored in the ships hold and sailed back to the Red Skull Bay.
