Buccaneers in Yew

t was a misty morning on the island of Buccaneer's Den. Only the sound of chatting, shouting and a hammer hitting the anvil could be heard from the local blacksmith. Numerous pirates and Buccaneer's Den townsfolk had gathered there, having their armor and weapons repaired by Andrej Pike, or receiving brand new exceptional pieces from him. There was quite a hubbub. Today they would set sails and invade and plunder Yew.

Half an hour later the pirate fleet raised anchor in the Buccaneer's Den harbor. Many pirates had joined in, greedy for fame, plunder and ale. Never before have so many pirates been seen in Buccaneer's Den.

Silently they anchored in the woods north of the Empath Abbey. A spy had told them the population of Yew had somehow been warned, and that armies of knights were gathering at the Empath Abbey. All pirates checked their weapons and prepared their bandages, for the battle was about to start.

Then suddenly things were happening quickly. Landlubbers had spotted them, and fighters appeared with raised weapons. A fierce battle begun, and unfortunately the pirate crew was separated. The pirate threat was quickly overthrown, and the knights cheered in victory. Their town had once again been saved from evil.

The pirates had to retreat, and all who were left met in The Bar of The Drunken Corsair on Buccaneer's Den in order to get drunk. The plans for the next invasion were almost settled...
