Andrej Pike's Fire Beetle

gain Andrej Pike was confronted with a Blackrock Elemental. The casualty occured while he was mining in the area close to his house. Mining sure was a tedious job. Gathering ore, running back to the house and smelting it at the forge. And, of course, luring a Blackrock Elemental away from his corpse. However, he had heard that Fire Beetles would be very handy for miners, as they could smelt the heavy ore into much lighter ingots. Kind of like a walking forge. Such an animal would save Andrej a lot of time and trouble.

Hawkeye Pike promised to help his brother. As he was a pirate and not a tamer and did know nothing about the Fire Beetle, he asked his friend Rosie for help. Lady Snow also joined in and gated them to the Yomotsu Mines. So this was the home of the Fire Beetle! Tokuno, Homare Island.

After following the long tunnel into the mine running away from several Earth Elementals and Yomotsu Fighters, the tamers and the pirate finally reached the very end of the dungeon and saw the glowing orange beetle.

While fending off several Yomotsu agressors Rosie managed to tame the beetle. She transferred the beautiful beast over to the pirate. Once again, she may not be aware of the service she had done to Hawkeye Pike.

Hawkeye mounted the beetle and followed the two ladies out of the dungeon as fast as he could. He was happy and delighted having achieved his goal, thanks to the help of his friends. Andrej sure would be happy about this kingly gift.
