Treasures of Tokuno
t was getting around that by a royal decree of Lord Casca, the self-proclaimed king, the Tokuno treasure hunt had started again, and it would last one month. All adventurers were called to hunt for the lost wealth of the Empire and slay any critters and monsters in Tokuno. Valuable rewards would await those who'd succeed. Sharkeye Pike decided to give it a try, and visited the Revenant Jima. After killing several of the Revenant Lions and other undead creatures there (his undead slayer spellbook helped a lot), he noticed that an artifact, some kind of Tokuno-style armor, and a special dye had been placed into his backpack.
The pirate then moved on towards the Valley of the Sleeping Dragon on the Isamu Island. This place seemed to be a popular hunting spot, and Sharkeye quickly found out why, when after slaying large numbers of Deathwatch Beetles, Lizardmen, Kappa, Revenant Lions and Hiryus, another artifact was bestowed on him.
It was amazing that all of a sudden he met so many people in Tokuno, unlike his last expedition. Maybe a dungeon would be a better place to hunt. He headed north towards the Fan Dancer Dojo, a place he always wanted to explore anyway. He passed several Fan Dancers and Horde Minions, when in the second level he found a large room with Daemons inside. He grabbed his daemon slayer spellbook and made an ugly mess in this room.
His backpack now contained a handful of artifacts and dyes with different hues. He thought it was time to explore other parts of the dungeon, and found a hall where the dangerous Succubus lived. His daemon slayer book was doing a good job here, too. Sharkeye's strategy was simple: Distract the Succubi with Energy Vortexes and then fry them with Energy Bolts, which seemed to be most effective.
Approximately 2 hours and several artifacts later, Pike continued downward to explore the lowest corners of the Dojo. On the eastern side he discovered a Balron and decided not to mess with it. In the western part he found a cave that was home to Hell Hounds and Hellcats, and the occasional Fan Dancer. The pirate hosted a big barbecue here, although nobody wanted to eat the delicious Hellcat ribs. Only after a long time, he noticed that there was a hole in the ground in the corner of this room. Sharkeye Pike got curious...
The pirate stepped into the hole and found himself in an underground corridor. He hadn't known that this place did exist. He followed the corridor, killed a pack of Headless with a single spell, and a large number of Horde Minions, too. Then he arrived at a dead end. He could see other rooms next to him, but they were not connected to the corridor he had been following. A strange blue moongate was glowing in a small chamber, out of his reach. Where did it lead?
After a long adventure, Sharkeye Pike finally returned to his home, the Jolly Roger Inn. He had gathered several dyes (unfortunately each of them had only 1 charge) and a bag full of minor artifacts, which could be turned in somewhere in Zento. He wondered what would be offered to him if he returned 10 of these artifacts. Maybe he would get something useful.
He found Ihara Soko in the capital of Tokuno and offered him 10 minor artifacts. In return, Sharkeye selected a Rune Beetle Carpace, which was an ugly piece of armor he probably never would wear, but still it had useful magic abilities. Maybe he'd try one of his new blue dyes on this armor.
