Victory!

he former royal guard Lord Owain Surrey had called for a meeting in Britain's Counselor's Hall. When Sharkeye Pike arrived, he counted 18 Dragon pets outside the hall. he felt a bit uneasy when he passed them, and the quickly slipped through the wooden door, closing it behind him swiftly. He already had heard rumors that today was the day of the final strike against the Shadowlords, the powers of evil that had brought death and destruction over Britannia since the failed experiment with the Blackrock Detector a long time ago.

The citizens of Britannia had gathered, prepared for battle, patiently waiting. Then Lord Owain Surrey finally appeared, followed by Lady Dawn, who had proven to be a most skilled leader in battle. Owain announced that the final war was at hand, as Lady Dawn had discovered the whereabouts of the Shadowlords. Tonight they all would strike swiftly and with full force, to once and for all purge the evil from this land. Then he opened a moongate and led the army to war...

They entered a dark cave. Quickly they moved forward, hoping for the element of surprise. The army was large, and countless tamed Dragons had joined to support the fighters. Sharkeye cast Gift of Life quickly, to protect himself from death. He had brought a few pieces of blackrock and several explosion potions, just in case.

Suddenly the fighters were faced with a number of Shadowlord Manifestations, protectors of the real Shadowlords. Armageddon spells were cast. Large flames erupted and lighted the dark cave walls. The battle began!
(Although I had set the particle effects to lowest quality, the Enhanced Client began to freeze again when the nova spells were cast. In order not to miss this event either, I decided to switch back to the old Legacy Client for the rest of this event, which worked just fine. Let's hope the performance of the Enhanced Client will be significantly improved soon!)

Then, in a cave with a strange field of stars in the middle, Sharkeye found the real Shadowlords. He had no time to hide or work out a strategy, as he quickly within a few seconds.

After he got resurrected and returned to his corpse, a large battle had erupted around the Shadowlords. Pike joined in, threw his explosions at Astaroth and cast spells like a maniac.

Finally, the battle was over. The ruby gem that was the source of the Shadowlords' power had been confiscated by Lady Dawn. People rejoiced and cheered. Sharkeye had contributed to the death of several Shadowlords, and found in his backpack two Cloaks of Corruption and an Armor or Fortune. Nice rewards indeed! So he hadn't wasted all his blackrock and explosives for nothing. Owain Surrey gated the fighters back to the Castle of Lord British.

In the throne room, Dawn and Owain Surrey stepped before the crowd and praised their bravery. Still, Casca, the puppet of the Shadowlords, remained hidden. But the red gem was secured, so its evil would never more be loosened on this land. The next goal would be to find Casca and then appoint a new King... or rather Queen.
