Hellhounds on Halloween

ven to the most disoriented person it would dawn that it was Halloween when entering the city of Luna. Hundreds of pumpkins of all sizes were spread on the ground, each one carrying the name of a random person who had been awake in Britannia today. These pumpkins could be collected by some fields outside of certain cities like Britain, and obviously someone had already done his homework to an excessive extent.

A shady merchant in Umbra sold strange hellhound treat these days, so Sharkeye decided to give it a try.

He went to Ilshenar where an old camp of the Bane Chose was located, because he knew that the Bane liked to use hellhounds as pets. When giving the treat to the beast, it suddenly transformed into a giant Ancient Hellhound with long claws and sharp teeth. Sharkeye decided that it would be better to keep a safety distance and retreated.

Indeed the Ancient Hellhound ripped the best fighter into pieces without ever seeming to take any damage from weapon or spell. The whole story would have ended here if one skilled herder hadn't thought of herding several dozens of Ki-Rins at the nearby champion spawn and bringing them over. Ki-Rins were known to be less friendly to evil creatures, and obviously the Hellhound didn't like them too much either...

After a second, hordes of Ki-Rins were savaging the Ancient Hellhound, and most of them died quickly. While the herder brought more Ki-Rins from time to time, the fighters were casting their spells at the evil beast. Sharkeye noticed that it seemed to be most vulnerable to cold damage and cast the appropriate spells.

The Ki-Rins finally got the job done, but it had taken a long time. Sharkeye Pike was just about to leave, when he noticed that a strange bloody sash had magically appeared in his backpack. Hmmm... It looked strange, but it suited his pirate outfit quite well. He pulled the sash over, proudly wearing the sign of the Ancient Hellhound and not knowing the side-effects of this trophy yet.
