The Tower of the Guild of Freedom
his week I was invited to join
the Guild of Freedom, a community of honest adventurers. The guild did not have overly restrictive rules, and I
liked that. The guild had built a tower on the plains east of the Desert of Compassion, and I decided to visit my
new friends to get acquainted.
I traveled by moongate to Minoc/Vesper. From there, I was wandering west past the Covetous Dungeon and tried to find
the tower. In the woods around Covetous, for the first time in Britannia I saw the snowflakes! That was a beautiful experience.

While traveling further west, I remembered that I had seen people using tamed pets to help them fight monsters. I decided to try my luck on a rabbit. I successfully tamed it and named it "Johnny". I made my new pet follow me to have some company on my journey.

After a long walk I finally found the tower of the Guild of Freedom. I was impressed by the high stone walls reaching
up into the sky. Never before had I entered such a building. It was clear that no normal citizen could afford such a
large home. Only guilds with lots of members were able to collect enough gold to finance a building like that.
My friends unlocked the door, welcomed me and let me in. The tower had a nice interior. It was furnished with tables, chairs,
chests and carpets. After introducing Johnny, I signed the guestbook.

A few of the guild members had just returned from the Covetous Dungeon, where one of them had been killed by a murderer. After getting resurrected at a healer, the victim received was re-equipped by us and we left the tower in search of adventure. Our destination was the Covetous Dungeon. Upbeat and euphoric we ran across the plain to reach the dungeon as soon as possible and slay some nasty creatures. My heart was beating heavily; not from running, but from excitement, as I never had been to a dungeon before.

We ran so fast that we bumped into an Orc, which was quickly slain by a number of swords, axes and crossbows. What a feeling! For the first time I experienced that in a large group of friends, you did not have to fear any enemy. With even more enthusiasm we headed towards the dungeon entrance...
