Perfidiousness and Deceit

Magery was not only a difficult skill to learn, but also an expensive one. A lot of pricy reagents were required to cast spells, and a lot of spellcasting was required to survive a dungeon adventure. Besides, there always was a shortage of reagents in Britannia, and McBykar had to recall from mage shop to mage shop to scrape together what other shoppers had left behind. Meanwhile he had become a rather decent mage, and he finally was able to mark runes without having to use Mark Scrolls. That's when he grabbed his crossbow, packed up some reagents, runes and bolts, and left the Rusty Anchor in Trinsic, heading northwest. The adventurer descended into the Destard Dungeon for the first time in order to find the shrine that was said to be located at the back of the first level. He was quite lucky and managed to avoid Dragons and Drakes, who instantly tried to hit him with their deadly fire breath. McBykar reached the shrine safe and sound, so he did not need to use it for resurrection.

When he reached the light of day again, McBykar headed north through the forest. He was about half way to Yew when he noticed a junction that lead to a pass over the mountains towards Britain. He changed his mind and turned right, following the road he had just discovered. When the path reached the mountains, he saw a wooden crate standing by the road. Had he just found a treasure? McBykar curiously opened it, when suddenly a gigantic noise made his ears ring and his vision went grey. As he opened his eyes again, he saw that the explosion of the trapped chest had blown him apart, and a "noble" warrior stepped out from under a tree, calmly looting McBykar's corpse. Rage was boiling up inside him. THIS SCUM! Here he was standing and had to watch some blackleg stealing all his reagents and equipment, without even having the guts to fight for his loot. McBykar had just fallen for one of the most dirty (and as he later realized, very commonly used) tricks, while the criminal who called himself Grand Wizard II was gettig away with it, and even kept his good reputation!

When I returned from the healer, another one of Grand Wizard's victims showed up. His name was Sir Robyn. The same thing had happened to him just 10 minutes ago. Suddenly Grand Wizard entered the scene to continue with his cowardly deeds. I told him to give us back our hard-earned items. But he just laughed at us:

McBykar: Can you give me back my bag?
Sir Robyn: you stole my shit
Grand Wizard II: it is in my house now
Grand Wizard II: sorry thats the life
Grand Wizard II: cya guys

And off he ran. I don't know whether such cowards will be erased from Britannia's soil one day, as their only purpose is to harm other people without taking responsibility. However, one thing I know for sure: I WILL REMEMBER HIS NAME!
