The Cup of the Drunken Admiral

After the success of the Cup of the Staggering Sailor the United Pirates of Catskills organized a second race. In memory of Admiral Hook, who almost got lost in the first race for sailing while drunk, the race had been named "The Cup of the Drunken Admiral"! The meeting point was the Jolly Roger Inn of the United Pirates.
The rules were simple: The boats had to line up for the race with the bow pointing south in front of the Jolly Roger Inn. Then boat numbers would be distributed. After the starting signal sea battles would be allowed. However, Blade Spirits and Energy Vortices were forbidden. A point to beware of was the narrow channel to the Occlo Bay! At three checkpoints a pirate would supervise the race and register the passing participants.

As expected, the channel of Occlo proved to be the most dangerous point. Three ships collided in the channel. A sea battle between the Virtue Village team and the Pirates was won by the Villagers.

Sea battle

The pirates had to surrender and lost the race. The other boats continued without any further battle, heading towards the finish line at the Red Skull Bay.

The "Dragonpride" with Lofwyr as a captain proved to be the fastest ship. They had reached the Red Skull Bay first, closely followed by the "Whydah" of Griffon. Watchman and his ship "The Second Hand" was third. The "Jolly Scotsman" of the pirates with William Wallace as captain returned last.

The winners received a valuable prize: A chest with a model of a small dragon ship for the crew of the Virtue Village. The Cup of the Drunken Admiral proved to be a great challenge and a lot of fun for the participants as well as the organizers.
