Invasion of Daemon Berserkers

hould you plan to enter a black moongate west of the Moonglow bank, beware! This gate leads to the destroyed Moonglow which was haunted by Fallen Warriors, Fetid Essences and other evil creatures. McBykar, powerful mage and spellweaver, fought a long battle against those vile creatures, killing many of the winged beasts and slaying several of the green energy essences.

This place had become a really dangerous area. Even with best equipment and skills you had to be very careful if you didn't want to constantly die. Brave adventurers had gathered here, fighting side by side against the evil threat, and resurrecting those who were unlucky without asking questions. People sticked together just like during the Juo'nar invasion in Trinsic in the Early Days

Things were going quite well and McBykar was just about to take his loot back to the bank, when suddenly a bunch of rotten Daemon Berserkers appeared. McBykar had never seen such creatures before, and he decided to hide and study their behavior before engaging them.

These Daemon Berserkers proved to be a great threat even to the bravest warriors. People dropped like flies to their powerful strike, while the Daemons themselves didn't take much damage. Even with the best armor they took two thirds of your life energy with a single blow.

McBykar finally managed to teleport inside the broken blackrock detector machine, which was a safe place as the Berserkers could not enter the fountain. Soon dozends of Daemons had gathered around the detector, threatening a hand full of brave fighters in their middle without being able to damage them. They could not get in, and the trapped fighters could not get out. McBykar thought that either they had been incredibly smart, or incredibly stupid.

The small group cast poison fields and earthquake spells for several hours before the could finally bring down some of the Daemons. However, this venture didn't yield anything, as the Deamon corpses were out of reach for looting. But fighters finally could enter the area again, as the Daemons were focused on the people inside the blackrock detector.

Suddenly a Fetid Essence appeared in the middle of the detector and killed the fighters, putting an end to their crazy idea. Thanks to the Gift of Life, McBykar could resurrect himself, loot his corpse and quickly recall out to a safe spot. He was tired and needed rest. And an idea of how to defeat Daemon Berserkers.
