Mysterious Energy Crystals

onight, Cernunnos of Catskills called for a meeting in the Moonglow Lycaeum. Lady Lucretia Genovese was already awaiting the 20 dauntless fighters and one dragon pet when Sharkeye Pike arrived in Moonglow. She quickly got to the point and explained that a geologist named Bertram Shull had found some strange crystals hidden in Britannia, which caused the creatures in the area to behave strangely. However, Shull was missing and his apprentice Myron showed up, who still suffered from the stress of his traumatic experiences. Myron did not cough up too much information. He talked about a creepy guy who was after his boss in the cave where they discovered the strange crystals.

Lucretia gated us to Kos Heb West in the Lost Lands to check out the odd behavior of slimes and discover one of the crystals. The first wave of Frost Oozes was slain quickly, and the group proceeded.

The Oozes were followed by Ice Elementals and Snow Elementals, which swarmed the snow-covered land in unnatural numbers. Sharkeye Pike had been here several times before, and he knew that usually only a handful of these creatures dwelled here. When a group of White Wyrms suddenly approached, the pirate knew that something was very wrong here.

Thousands of agressive monsters advanced in waves, and the adventurers got their hands full to repulse the attacks. Around Sharkeye, clouds of steam from the smelting snow whiffed into the air while he was casting spell after spell to defeat the vile creatures. He mostly used fire-based spells, as he figured that ice and frost creatures might be most vulnerable to those.

In the masses of monsters, a handful of arctic elementals appeared also. They were very difficult to defeat and were carrying valorite ore as loot, ow which Sharkeye grabbed as much as he could carry.

Finally, they discovered a mysterious crystal hidden on the peak of a mountain, which seemed to have caused the invasion. Lucretia Genovese climed the mountain and destroyed this radiating energy crystal. The threat was over! Meanwhile, someone had discovered the crystals Bertram Shull had found in a cave, and the journey continued.

They reached the Sanctuary Dungeon and entered. The crystal shards seemed to be somewhere in the caves beneath the dungeon. However, instead of taking the first passage downward, the group advanced into the middle of the dungeon where large groups of humanoid monsters were living.

Luckily they reached said location and found some red crystalline fragments and a crystal dagger lying on the ground. More riddles and a lot of unanswered questions! Sharkeye had the strange feeling that this had not been the last adventure of this kind.
