A Trip Down Memory Lane

ook and Hawkeye Pike, the two old friends, had laid down their armor and put on regular clothes. The two pirates only carried an old weapon to defend themselves against lesser monsters or to hunt some deer for barbecue. They wanted to set out for an adventure, to travel back in time and visit the places they knew from the Early Days. Using the Crystal Portal of the Jolly Roger Inn, they were teleported to Trinsic, Felucca.

Here in Trinsic, Hawkeye's ancestors had once entered Britannia for the first time. Back then, Trinsic was a very populated city with adventurers, mages, crafters and thieves frequenting the city bank. Today, the place was deserted. Only a glowing sculpture stood there as a silent witness of Nystul's magic and Lady Minax's evil power, that once split the world into Trammel and Felucca.

Hook and Pike left Trinsic through the west gate, where once troops of brave fighters had awaited the attack of Juo'nar. Here in the woods, Hook and Hawkeye Pike had once challenged a landlubber for a wrestling match. They planned to follow the road leading to Britain.

Before walking to Britain, they paid the smuggler's camp outside the eastern Trinsic wall a visit. This camp had been built just before Junoar's invasion, and by speaking a secret password, one could secretly enter the city through a crack in the wall. However, the password did not work anymore. The old magic had lost its power.

On the road to Britain, they passed by a small camp where Dupre had mustered the troops to defeat Juo'nar and liberate Trinsic.

A small cottage beside the road was still there, deserted, laden with the legacy of people and guilds that had passed beyond memory many years ago. Old runes on the table lead to guild houses that did not exist anymore. The interior decoration was simple and homely, as it was common practice during the Early Days.

It had started to rain. Small rivers were dripping from Hawkeye's tricorne as the two wandered through the deserted woods. Suddenly, a group of Lizardmen and Ratmen jumped out from under the trees, ambushing the two travelers. Fortunately, the pirates had brought bandages and thus were able to defeat the monsters and heal each other.

They soon reached Britain and continued to follow the road to the west through the mountain pass, then heading north towards Yew. They stopped by the Shadowclan Orc Fort, a place that was once inhabited by a powerful orc clan. Today, only regular Orcs lived here. No trace of the Shadowclan, but a small sign on the palisades.

The expedition ended by the moongate of Yew, where Hawkeye Pike lit a campfire and prepared a barbecue. Hook had to leave, so Hawkeye sat down on a log and opened a bottle of ale, when for the first time during this journey he saw several other people in Felucca. However, they didn't even give him time to introduce himself properly, but immediately insulted him and killed him several times. As the pirate neither was prepared for this kind of battle, nor was interested in such bad company, he finally entered the moongate and returned to Trammel. No wonder that Felucca was deserted, being merely a retention pond for mindless scum.
