he group of pirates looked down on their work with satisfaction. With several yards of cloth of three different color they had placed a sign on the ground in New Haven. It was the sign of piracy, a sign that should make landlubbers tremble with fear or at least reach into their pockets to pay taxes to the pirates without hesitation. So far, so good. Now where were those innocent citizens waiting to be taxed?
Instead of citizens, members of the Royal Britannian Guard appeared, and from that point forward things didn't work out like the pirates had planned anymore. The discussion quickly escalated into a fight, and guards on horse- or whatever-creature's-back were chasing the pirates through the streets of New Haven. There were losses on both sides, but the pirates finally preferred to retreat and continue their business elsewhere...
