Raiding the Keg and Anchor Tavern

A group of nine members of the Vesper Trading Company on Europa had gathered for a secret meeting in the cellar of the Swaggers Inn. Equipment was prepared, blades were sharpened and a couple of pack animals had to be organized. Nobody knew exactly what they were about to do, since the guild mistress of the Veeties was very secretive about it. All they knew was that they'd be about to have some fun and earn some silver, and that was just all they needed to know for now.

The Silver Doubloon was anchored outside. When everybody was ready they boarded, raised the anchor and set sails towards Trinsic. Their destination was a small bay northwest of Trinsic, close to the tavern of the Trinsic Rogues.

After going ashore, the group followed along the coastline until they reached a low rock that was covered by hanging dense shrubs. Then Rebecca stepped forward and pushed the bushes aside. Pike recognized a narrow crevice, and one by one they squeezed in, climed down a ladder and entered a hidden cave beneath the ground.

When all the lanterns were lit, they received gray clothes and a hood so they could not easily be recognized. Then they learned that they were to raid the Keg and Anchor tavern in Trinsic, right under the nose of the Duchy of Trinsic. They'd steal all wares to stock their own tavern, and all other valuable goods they would find. When everyone was ready, they followed the tunnel until they saw another ladder leading upwards. As they reached the surface they found themselves within the city walls of Trinsic. Quickly they proceeded to the tavern to use the element of surprise.

There were no guests in the tavern. No witnesses! The tavernkeeper and the barmaid were totally shocked and did not resist. Several barrels full of food and beverages were stolen and loaded onto the pack animals, then it was time to take off before the Trinsic guards would get wind of this raid.

The pretty barmaid was dragged along. She would from now on serve in the Sloop Inn of the Trinsic Rogues. The group headed quickly to the the city wall. They found the place where they had entered and pushed a loose brick. A secret passage appeared that allowed them to descent into the smuggler's tunnel. Everything went as planned and not a single guard had interfered.

Back in Tom Blackwood's Sloop Inn the wench was locked up in the cellar and the contraband was stored away. The Veeties received free drinks and a reward, and the sounds of their laughter and celebrating could be heard across the water for several hours.
