The Final Battle of Hawkeye Pike

carst, Aneirin and Hawkeye Pike, who were known as the most notorious pirates of Catskills, gathered by the Jolly Roger Inn. Scarst had organized this last meeting to raze the shard of Catskills for a goodbye. Because this would be Hawkeye Pike's last day in Sosaria. The three friends, who were not only great companions but also the best fighting trio known throughout the community, planned to raid the towns of Catskills tonight. "This may be me last chance to leave a bad impression", Hawkeye grinned as he applied some poison to his kryss.

Olympus was their first destination. It was home to their arch enemies, the Purple Guardians of Honor. The pirates combed the town for loot and plunder, burning down some buildings.

It didn't take long before three guardians appeared. Their names were Thom, Eban and Kelfer. Of course the pirates demanded gold, treasure, wenches and ale (in that order), and of course the guardians refused. Also Pike's suggestion to give them their black horse for a barbecue did not find their favor.

The situation quickly escalated, leaving three bodies and one dead horse in the grass. Then the three pirates quickly set the Galehaven Tavern on fire before they left for Aegis, a town near Yew.

Aegis was deserted. Only Aedon Durreah, who seemed to be tending the bar in Deckard's tavern. But since he was unarmed the pirates decided to say goodbye in a civilized way, but not after getting drunk.

Next they invaded the home of the Vampires in Malas, but not a soul was around. The other towns were also deserted. Nothing to loot, nothing to plunder.

Finally they traveled to a place where fighting was a daily business: The Moongate of Yew in Felucca. Even this area was not really busy, but after a while Hawkeye Pike took matters into his own hands and started an attack. The three pirates enjoyed some good fights before they decided to call it a night.

Hawkeye Pike payed his respect to Felucca Yew Gate folks amongst which still people with honor and skill can be found. Then, here by the Felucca Yew Gate, it was finally time to say goodbye to his friends. This day had been creeping up on him for several weeks now. Hawkeye had already transferred the Jolly Roger Inn, headquarter of the United Pirates, to a reliable crew member. The guild leadership had moved on to Scarst. Pike's belongings were already packed into bags and crates.

Aneirin and Scarst had been his companions and brothers in arms for a long time. They had survived guild wars, dungeon crawls, peerless fights, invasions and many many events together. After the excitement of the last two hours, Hawkeye finally felt sadness. He had seen many guilds in Britannia, but the United Pirates of Catskills had been the most fun and entertaining group of people he had ever met. He felt bad about leaving his crew behind, not knowing whether they would continue with what he had started or just fade away. He would miss all his friends, most of all Aneirin, Scarst, Hook, Trinsac, Schuyler Bain and Lumberlord, but also the countless pirates who traveled with his crew for a shorter period of time.

When their ways parted, Hawkeye Pike knew that he probably would never meet them again in Britannia.
