Visiting Red Skull Bay

Well equipped, Hawkeye Pike was standing by the beach a short walk east of Vesper, Felucca. A long, narrow headland leading out into the ocean, forming a big bay with the mainland. This area had once been a dangerous and yet fun place to be. Many years ago, pirates had frequented the bay, anchoring their ships, drinking ale, brawling, laughing, celebrating, dancing with wenches and holding exciting events. The area was called the Red Skull Bay, and it was known to most landlubbers throughout Britannia. Today, the former Red Skull Bay was deserted. The big headquarter of the United Pirates, the Jolly Roger Inn, was gone. Not a soul was around.

Hawkeye Pike found the emptiness of Britannia disturbing. Yesterday he had been standing at Vesper bank, a place once frequented by many people, for over an hour. Only one landlubber recalled in and out, by mistake it seemed. Hawkeye walked along the shoreline of Red Skull Bay onto the headland. At the southernmost tip he had once owned a big log cabin, a place filled with loot, treasure and plunder, with a little bar on the balcony where he used to drink ale with his friends. Today, the real estate was occupied by an ugly building without a roof. No anchor sign by the door - a landlubber home!

In the immediate vicinity of Red Skull Bay once was located the Virtue Village. A village of powerful and honorable knights and virtuous villagers. The village consisted of a big tavern with a bar and good ale, a tower called the Spire of the Ninth Virtue and some houses. There were conflicts, treaties, broken treaties, fights, trials together with the pirates. It had been an exciting neighborship that involved a lot of emotion and tension. That all had vanished into thin air. Nobody knew when or why all these people had left. Maybe one day Hawkeye Pike would be able to find out what happened to this place he once called home.
