A Dungeon Roundtrip

t was through one of Troy's friends, Hawkeye Pike met Rosie the tamer. Rosie often can be met by the Luna bank riding on or leading one of her inconvenient tamed animals. However, these mounts proved to be highly trained and very powerful when set on dangerous monsters.

Before going to a dungeon, she invited him to her house, giving the pirate a power scroll that allowed him to raise his tactics skill beyond grandmaster knowledge. As Hawkeye found out later, this was a most generous gift, as these scrolls are very hard to come by. Rosie also told him a lot about the right armor and weapons, calling the pirate's outfit "old school". Hawkeye knew she was more than right, remembering the incident with the Ogre.

At first they visited the Dungeon Destard, the dungeon of Dragons, Drakes and Wyverns. With the assistance of Rosies beast (and her resurrection skill once and a while) they fought against one of the more dangerous creatures of Britannia. Hawkeye Pike had gathered quite a lot of loot when he returned to the Luna bank.

Their next destination was the Blood Dungeon in Ilshenar. Hawkeye had never before seen this place. Beware! When you pass the Imps hanging around by the entrance area, you will very soon come across the most dangerous elementals even skilled fighters shouldn't engage alone. Also, beware of yellow creatures called "Paragon", because they hit twice as hard and are so fast that you can only escape when you ride a mount. This is when Hawkeye realized the value of his Ethereal Ostard for the first time.

The next day Rosie invited Hawkeye to a trip to a special location: The Twisted Weald. In order to enter this place, you first have to accept the Dreadhorn Quest from an elf in Heartwood. After Hawkeye had done so, they teleported to the Spirituality Moongate in Ilshenar and headed west to the nearby Mushroom Caves. In these caves they found a teleporter leading them into the Twisted Weald. People with negative Karma should not enter though, because a lot of usually friendly Wisps and Pixies at the entrance will attack those immediately. What looked like a nice peaceful garden is a place of horror instead when you proceed to the deeper caves of the Twisted Weald. However, the two adventurers decided to stay in the garden. Rosie wanted to show the pirate one very renowned animal, the Swoop. A Swoop is a purple peaceful bird, which obtained its famousness through its valuable loot. Only with the help of Rosie's creature, Hawkeye was able to slay one of those birds. Again, with bags full of loot they returned to the bank.

The next dungeon they explored was the Wisp Dungeon. This is a place of peaceful Wisps in the first levels, but deeper down it is crowded with dangerous necromancer Mages and Dark Wisps. A place of certain death for unprepared adventurers, and a place of good loot for the lucky ones. In this case the two were mostly lucky.

After returning to Luna, Hawkeye Pike thanked Rosie for showing him those interesting places. Then he sorted his loot into the bank box. The box was full to the rim! He had made a lot of money on this dungeon roundtrip and had gathered a lot of magic items. He realized that becoming wealthy was not too difficult when you were skilled and did not go on adventures alone. And it was fun, for he had seen a lot of new and exciting places.
