Into the Darkness

he clock stroke midnight when three pirates met in front of the Jolly Roger Inn, wearing nothing but clothes, a cheap weapon from a town vendor, and a torch. The night was dark. Very dark. It was a new moon. When they had shared their bandages, they vanished into the night, heading towards the Shame Dungeon. They would try to find better equipment there.
(We all turned the "Dark Nights" option in the UO Client on, which had a big impact on the game's atmosphere.)

The flickering light of three torches illuminated the area by the dungeon entrance. The dark hole in the rock swallowed every beam of light and stared at them like a black eye. They readied their weapons and entered.

The Earth Elementals in the first level did not carry any useful equipment, so they quickly proceeded and found the moongate down to level 2.

They discovered the dark house of mages on the underground lake, they faced Air and Fire Elementals, and killed the Kraken. They moved on and fought Elder Gazers and Dull Copper Elementals. Nothing could stop them!

Unfortunately, a Blood Elemental finally killed them all and looted their bandages.Now it was time to call it a night. Hawkeye deplored especially the loss of his tricorne. It had been an exciting adventure of loot and plunder, and they shure would repeat it soon.

As the night still was young, Sharkeye Pike followed the invitation of a friend and joined a group down into the Citadel to fight the dangerous Travesty Changeling.
